Silly Willy's Monster
Book in Progress
Illustrated by Momo
It was a day of sunshine and sunflowers.
Silly Willy bounced down the road in love with life,
carrying his heart with ease and exuberance.
He thought nothing could go wrong.
"Take it," he said. "I can grow another."
Monster awoke in a new world.
He had wings.
He could fly.

He was wrong.
He tripped on a small stone
and dropped his heart.
It broke in half.
He cried in disbelief,
he cried in horror.
He cried until someone heard him.
Monster watched and wondered why
he cried like he was dying.
Silly Willy became silly again.
His whole body smiled. He saw stars.
He felt good to have done good.
Monster heard a girl crying and
played music to quiet her tears.
Monster tried to comfort him,
but the boy kept crying.
Soon, the sky cried too.
Flowers disappeared and
the landscape turned brown.
Monster could think of only one thing to do.
Monster went to sleep in a dream of hearts.
More to come...
